As a father and a Christian I raise my children to understand that the only legitimate forms of human authority have been delegated by God and they become illegitimate to the extent that they opposes, contradicts, or becomes more restrictive than him. In short, it is better to obey God rather than men, but God does put people in legitimate authority over us. Nevertheless we should respect and obey them only insofar as they are in conformity with God's revealed will.

I appreciate that. It's mostly just about being curious and paying attention. Instead of seeing one problem and either ignoring it or just addressing it, I look to see either what caused it, and/or what other problems could arise next. Too many people will call a guy to fix a problem and that guy just fixes the problem and leaves. I can't do that. "I have questions."
