"Arm" is a hysterical misuse of the word. Have they tried chastity belts yet? nostr:nevent1qqsrexj7p43pp39la77df9ytv8kecxf8qfrj34l47m5dtvkfzltzkkcpz3mhxue69uhhyetvv9ujuerpd46hxtnfdupzp3l7jtuqc5tvp32tzh5dy44vqu5pqdkexn4pluulkrxc5r7kwaekg5use8

I haven't tried rolling back yet. The folks at Start9 advised me to hold tight, as they are actively working on it. LND isn't recognizing and loading my existing data from the previous version, but is rather trying to get me to start fresh.

Nice thing is, if you already have the correct app installed, Zapstore gives a big red warning when trying to "update" to the wrong one. https://relay.brightbolt.net/b5244a84232ab9a610e1e6bfbd7d6f78dfffe2e18c328604fee584e01ae67bfb.jpg

I should say they each CAN, but some may use the same techniques. I've had a couple clients that are doing something differently.

Lol Maybe I'll try making one. One problem is the actual hardware, but also the refresh method. It won't really work like a typical client.

Yeah, they're going hard. I imagine they're doing something that weights ip with correlations of video thumbnail downloads, rather than pure ip banning

From what I can tell, nothing in what nostr:nprofile1qqsrhuxx8l9ex335q7he0f09aej04zpazpl0ne2cgukyawd24mayt8g2lcy6q suggested can in any way be characterized as a guarantee of deletion. Only a best effort to ensure deletion and a "trust me, this is what we're running on our relay, here's the open source code that shows how it works allowing me to 'safely claim that messages are not persisted,' but there is no way for me to prove that neither I or anyone else is 'malociously persisting them.'" Indeed he also acknowledges that the same lack of guarantee would also be an issue with messages residing on OwnCast servers. Owncast has passed UAT for them only because they never bothered to ask whether Owncast can provide guarantee that their chats are deleted, and Owncast never bothered to be proactively up-front that it's impossible to provide any such guarantee.
