People would rather have 1,000 Yen over 0.5 Bitcoin or 50 million Sats. It's like saying if you want 1 million pennies, people would rather take 5 dollars over 1 million pennies. Yes, the 1 million pennies ($10,000 Dollars) has more value than 5 dollars but 5 dollars is denominated in an amount where they automatically know the value.
