Things that make me believe people are fundamentally good:
Neighbors who water someoneβs plants while theyβre away.
Strangers who sincerely applaud a street performer.
People who remember how you take your coffee.
People who adopt elderly animals, already knowing their time together will be short.
People who keep loving after theyβve been hurt.
People who plant trees knowing they may never sit in their shade.
People who teach something for free because, one day, someone did the same for them.
The stubborn desire to begin again. Despite everything.
Maybe human goodness isnβt spectacular.
Maybe it lives mostly in small, repeated, almost invisible things.
