Honestly, I don't see how it would help. Error handling in this case would require a notification (they require GPS for notifications), and there is a hint saying they require GPS (that's what made me think this was the issue). The issue is it isn't obvious that the transaction is done processing unless you look closely. But it won't keep processing in the background without GPS. I've seen others mention this and they don't seem to care. I just haven't gotten around to looking at wallets again since it's usually an awful experience. This is by far the least of my Lightning issues thusfar. Hopefully things have improved in the months since I settled on Phoenix.

Think of it this way. Outbox are how you get what you want to say out to the rest of Nostr. That being the case, you will want to use relays that anyone can read from. Now, that's the case with MOST relays, so you have a lot of options here. Inbox relays, however, will determine who is able to get what they have to say, particularly in comments and replies, in front of you. These relays are really useful for minimising reply spam if you use them correctly by only adding relays that people you care to hear from can write to. The best options here are Web-of-Trust relays of one form or another, or paid relays, if you really want to lock it down, or a combination of both.

Violence is a controversial term. In military contexts and among security professional, violence and force are words of the trade. Among the general population, violence is something abnormal and counter to "civilized" life. In nature, survival really is the correct term for violence, even though violence is the means by which survival is achieved. When violence occurs, there are always two opposing forces being tested. And our terms for these are Offense and Defense. Offense is necessary to survival as much as defense is, and both are manifestations of violence. We have made so much of our society non-violent that only a small portion of our population has to engage in violence for survival (or a large part of the population for a small portion of time). But when even that small portion is removed, then whole population's survival is in jeopardy.

I have an #askNostr for #bookstr recommendations. bit of a preamble necessary because the recommedee is idiosyncratic. I was talking to a bitcoin-naive friend about the high-quality handmade goods and healthy food in the circular economy and bitcoiners' commitment to craftsmanship and low-time-preference products. I pointed to my nostr:nprofile1qqsx845ex2wm3cu9d8e93xm282nmpu33emyr5aufu20s5wt8sx7h6ushflkvl belt and nostr:nprofile1qqsppdnxpjc82jlm3yn9gawhv7p4nm69a3f80rg5ycw305xned2s0hc28uk0q 's results on my skin. i mentioned nostr:nprofile1qqsfnnh6v3dspqtnwv3e46aed5k3nypyfx2wtet92ekg9szt3hr9k4qq23uac , the (non-nostr) guys i get my beef and chicken from, and nostr:npub1uzt238htjzpq39dxmltlx60vxym9fetk9czz6kddq6fhvkf4z3usy9qtrh and nostr:nprofile1qqsfr084yhxtx4sttkjsneav95fjvqla8tcr8lwhmjczm4tl5rdqd8c7ca93j . She's an apparel designer and a horticulturalist/farmer with an academic background in philosophy and her whole business (and life) stance is about slow, deliberate quality. when she heard there's a population of people who value something so highly that they are unwilling to trade it **except** for truly quality goods and healthy foods, the whole thing snapped into place for her. her request to me, and the thing i'm asking you to help with: she asked me to give her a stack of books on this topic, and i know she'll read them. i don't want to give her the standard "how bitcoin works" or economics books. i'm trying to find books or writing that will appeal to her directly and hit on the point that a lowering of time preference and deflationary money in the bitcoin economy naturally incentivizes skilled craftspeople, artists and farmers and discerning consumers. i'm starting with https://brandonquittem.com/bitcoin-is-the-mycelium-of-money/ because it's perfectly in her biology/philosophy wheelhouse. so, nostr and #bookstr , what books or articles would you recommend to her? best case scenario: we orange pill her and the circular economy adds another extremely talented artisan.
