Think of it this way. Outbox are how you get what you want to say out to the rest of Nostr. That being the case, you will want to use relays that anyone can read from. Now, that's the case with MOST relays, so you have a lot of options here. Inbox relays, however, will determine who is able to get what they have to say, particularly in comments and replies, in front of you. These relays are really useful for minimising reply spam if you use them correctly by only adding relays that people you care to hear from can write to. The best options here are Web-of-Trust relays of one form or another, or paid relays, if you really want to lock it down, or a combination of both.

Violence is a controversial term. In military contexts and among security professional, violence and force are words of the trade. Among the general population, violence is something abnormal and counter to "civilized" life. In nature, survival really is the correct term for violence, even though violence is the means by which survival is achieved. When violence occurs, there are always two opposing forces being tested. And our terms for these are Offense and Defense. Offense is necessary to survival as much as defense is, and both are manifestations of violence. We have made so much of our society non-violent that only a small portion of our population has to engage in violence for survival (or a large part of the population for a small portion of time). But when even that small portion is removed, then whole population's survival is in jeopardy.

Thanks! The idea started to do a bitcoin group, but then I realized that telling people to buy magical internet money when they are feeling pressured just feeding their kids is kind of a dick move. So my group focuses instead on local economic resilience, our current projects are reviving the local time bank which died during the pandemic, running repair cafes to help keep stuff out of the landfill and let people avoid paying for replacements, and developing mesh network infrastructure in and around town for cheap communication. I still maintain this is a Bitcoin friendly space, and maybe eventually I'll do some workshops on it. But people here are really hostile to Bitcoin so I'm letting the trust develop with other projects first.

no. a transaction is between me and my counterparty. it isnt "a public act" unless you broadcast it to a transparent chain that anyone with Internet access can audit. there's never going to be a time where Authority just decides to NOT surveil everyone's transparent and publicly recorded transactions. it doesn't depend on the existence of fiat either, they're still coming for their taxes. even if you live completely off their radar, on a transparent chain it only takes ONE merchant doxxing you to reveal your utxo cluster. we are obviously living in an age of increasing surveillance and the normalization of a state of no-privacy. it's not debatable. they're going to map the entire utxo set. Bitcoin pseudonymity only *decreases* with time.
